Vic Nixon grew up in Fredericksburg, attended Sul Ross University for his BBA, and then returned to his hometown to start a family, helped manage the family peach orchards and worked as a land surveyor. Vic began his real estate career as a sales agent in 1973, and continued to work as a surveyor, when he, his dad, and his wife opened Nixon Real Estate in 1977. A few years later he added his broker’s license and took over the firm. With over 42 years experience in real estate, he has specialized knowledge in farm and ranch, investment properties and investor clients, and rural and residential development. If you are looking for acreage, Vic is the broker for you. He has overseen the development of Eagles Crest, Hilltop Oak, Valley View, Buena Vista, Spring Hill, Prairie Vista, Enchanted Vista, Bear Creek Ranchettes, Pedernales River Estates, subdivisions and numerous others around the Hill Country.
Vic is a member of the Central Hill Country Board of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce. Along with taking on leadership roles and participating on many committees in Fredericksburg. He is also committed to philanthropy work, supporting charities and foundations to help others.
Vic Nixon enjoys what this Hill Country Community has to offer its residents; specifically the excellent public and private schools, Hill Country Memorial – one of the Nation’s Top 100 Hospitals, the Historic sites and German Heritage, the quaint shops on Main Street, and the native Texas wineries that abound just minutes from town. Vic is also an avid hunter and loves to fish with his grandson; he attends Bethany Lutheran Church, and enjoys spending time with his lovely wife of 51 years and business partner, Marian Nixon, who is also a broker and manager of Nixon Real Estate Rentals.
